Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at 에러

 

구글링해보니 Ubuntu 시작 시에 docker service가 시작되지 않아서 발생하는 에러로 보인다.

$ sudo docker run hello-world
docker: Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?.
See 'docker run --help'.

 

service를 시작해주고 docker를 돌리면 된다.

$ sudo service docker start
 * Starting Docker: docker                                                                                                         [ OK ]

$ sudo docker run hello-world

Hello from Docker!

To generate this message, Docker took the following steps:
 1. The Docker client contacted the Docker daemon.
 2. The Docker daemon pulled the "hello-world" image from the Docker Hub.
    (amd64)
